usage

Literally 'talk-sky' - to talk about anything and everything (the sky's the limit). Often expanded to 谈天说地 (tántiān-shuōdì, 'chat about heaven and earth'). Slightly more literary than 聊天 (liáotiān), which is the everyday equivalent.
