Xu Qinfu (
许廑父, 1891-1953) was a prolific
鸳鸯蝴蝶派 (Yuānyāng-húdié pài, Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies School) novelist and journalist active in 1920s-30s Shanghai. He wrote serialized historical and romantic novels for popular newspapers and is remembered as a representative figure of early-twentieth-century commercial fiction.
