One of the oldest hanfu silhouettes:
襦 is a short upper garment,
裙 a long skirt. Major variants:
齐腰襦裙 (waist-tied),
齐胸襦裙 (chest-tied, high-waisted Tang style) and
对襟襦裙 (centre-front). In ruqun the top is tucked INTO the skirt, unlike the later
袄裙 where it hangs outside.
