Under PRC company law there are two main forms: 有限责任公司 (LLC, capped at 50 shareholders, no public shares) and 股份有限公司 (joint-stock, can issue tradable shares and IPO). All A-share-listed companies are 股份有限公司, often abbreviated 股份公司.
