The Rhône (
罗纳河) flows ~813 km from the Rhône Glacier in Switzerland through Lake Geneva, then south through Lyon and Avignon to the Mediterranean. It defined the eastern frontier of medieval France and runs through the Côtes du Rhône wine region. The French spelling Rhône and English Rhone both transliterate to
罗纳.
