usage
绝伦 follows a two-syllable quality word to make a four-character phrase: 精彩绝伦 (brilliant beyond compare), 精美绝伦 (exquisite beyond compare), and the scornful 荒谬绝伦 (absurd beyond belief). 绝 is 'cut off' and 伦 'one's peers': nothing else of its kind.
