五刑 (wǔxíng, Five Punishments) system used flogging, mutilation, exile, and beheading. The Chinese term mainly translates the practice in other legal traditions, such as historical Mosaic law and the application of
鞭刑/
石刑 in some modern jurisdictions under hudud rulings.
