Tips

usage
After words, fists or weapons, 相向 means turning them on someone: 恶语 相向 "to hurl abuse at each other", 拳脚 相向 "to come to blows", 倒戈 相向 "to turn one's weapons on one's own side". With 而 and a verb it is literal: 相向 而 行 "to move toward each other".
mistakes
相 here is xiāng, "each other", not xiàng as in "appearance" or "minister". 向 is "to face".
