电热扇 blows hot air; compare 暖风机 (nuǎnfēngjī, similar fan-heater term) and 取暖器 (qǔnuǎnqì, generic 'space heater' covering oil radiators 油汀, halogen heaters 小太阳, etc.). Common in southern Chinese homes that lack central heating (暖气 nuǎnqì).
