Beijing-flavored colloquial term, complete with 儿化音 (érhuà — the rhotic 儿 suffix). 片儿 (piànr) means 'small district / patch,' so 片儿警 is the 'patch cop' assigned to your specific neighborhood. Formal equivalent: 社区民警 (shèqū mínjǐng).

There is a 1990s mainland TV drama 《片警宝音》 and the much earlier 《派出所的故事》 that built the 片儿警 archetype: a friendly, mediating, slightly nosey neighborhood officer who knows everyone's name.
