梭罗 is the standard Chinese rendering of Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862) — author of 《瓦尔登湖》 (Walden) and 《论公民的不服从》 (Civil Disobedience). His writings on nature, simplicity, and resistance shaped figures from Tolstoy to Gandhi to MLK.
