usage
Two near-synonyms welded together: 挑 ('pick out') + 拣 ('select'). The doubled-up feel makes it a bit more deliberate than plain 挑 - useful when sorting through options one by one. Compare 挑剔 ('to be fussy/critical') which adds a negative judgment.
