history
Established in 1974 in response to the Peter Godber scandal, the Hong Kong ICAC 廉政公署 (Liánzhèng Gōngshǔ) is credited with transforming the colony from one of Asia's most corrupt police states into one of its cleanest jurisdictions. 廉署 is its colloquial short form.
