In China, the dominant navigation apps are 高德地图 (Gāodé Dìtú, Amap) and 百度地图 (Bǎidù Dìtú, Baidu Maps), not Google Maps. 开导航 or 打开导航 is what you say when asking someone to turn on GPS in the car.
