Ancient heartland of the Zhou dynasty, called
青铜器之乡 (hometown of bronze). Produced landmark Western Zhou bronzes including
何尊 — whose inscription contains the earliest known use of
中国 (zhongguo, 'central kingdom'). The Baoji Bronzeware Museum displays many of the finds.
