天府之国 (Tiānfǔ zhī guó, 'land of abundance') is the classical name for the Chengdu Plain — Zhuge Liang used it in the Longzhong Plan (
隆中对, Lóngzhōng duì) c. 207 CE. Modern Chengdu reuses the name everywhere: Tianfu New Area, Tianfu Square, Tianfu International Airport.
