Tips

history
Originally a Chinese chess (围棋 / 象棋) term: after a game, players replay every move on the board () to study what worked. The metaphor was extended in the 2000s to business strategy via 联想 (Lenovo) founder 柳传志, and 复盘 is now standard in tech, sports, and project-management vocab.
usage
Distinct from 总结 (zǒngjié, 'summarize'). 复盘 is move-by-move analysis to extract lessons; 总结 is a summary of conclusions. Tech and finance teams often hold 复盘 (post-mortem meetings).
