Tanya / Татьяна is a classic Russian/Slavic name — most famously Tatyana Larina, the heroine of Pushkin's verse novel 《叶甫盖尼·奥涅金》(Eugene Onegin). The diminutive 'Tanya' is so iconic it's almost shorthand for 'a Russian woman' in Chinese translation literature.
