回门 traditionally happens on the third day after the wedding (三朝回门). The couple visits the bride's parents with even-numbered gifts (双数 is auspicious), and a 回门宴 (return banquet) is hosted by her family. In modern weddings the custom is often shortened to just a family lunch the day after.
