古普塔 is the modern phonetic transliteration of Gupta: 古 (gǔ) = 'Gu-', 普 (pǔ) = '-p-', 塔 (tǎ) = '-ta'. Note that the historical Gupta Empire of ancient India (c. 320-550 CE) is rendered differently as 笈多王朝 (Jíduō Wángcháo).
