usage
养 (nourish/raise) + 护 (protect). Used across infrastructure (道路养护 road maintenance), construction (混凝土养护 concrete curing), health (皮肤养护 skincare), and pets/plants. 维护 overlaps but is more abstract: you 维护 a system or rights, but 养护 a physical thing that needs ongoing care.
