Tips

usage
Not in CC-CEDICT or Xinhua dictionaries as a standalone word. In the THUOCL "animal" frequency list this is almost certainly a fragment of a longer paleontological genus name. Note: the feathered dromaeosaur Wulong bohaiensis is usually written (wǔlóng, "five dragon") after its Liaoning locality, not 兀龙; 兀龙 may be a distinct transliteration or an OCR variant.
memory
(wù) means "lofty / bare / rising" — compare "abrupt, lofty." Read as wù in this compound.
