Here 行 is read háng (a business/firm), not xíng (to walk). Same reading as in 银行 yínháng. Say zhōngxíng and a Chinese speaker will either be confused or hear 中型 (medium-sized).

Bank of China (founded 1912) is one of the Big Four state banks, alongside 工行 (ICBC), 建行 (CCB), and 农行 (ABC). Its logo — an ancient Chinese coin with a square hole — was designed by Hong Kong designer Henry Steiner in 1980.
