This word only modifies a noun, either straight in front of it as in 上色货 or with 的. It cannot follow 很 or stand alone as a predicate, and it belongs to trade language rather than everyday speech.
mistakes
Same two characters as 上色, to apply color. The top-grade sense keeps 色; the coloring verb takes 色.
