Chinese cryptid - a wolf-sized predator with a long, donkey-like muzzle, reported in the mountains of Henan and Hubei from the 1950s through the 1980s. Some zoologists think witnesses saw a relict population of an extinct thylacine-like predator or a misidentified local wolf; no specimen has ever been collected.
