The chapter 《季氏》 of the 《论语》 opens with the Ji family's plan to attack 颛臾. Confucius answers that the Ji should fear trouble "within their own screen wall" rather than in Zhuanyu, the source of the chengyu 祸起萧墙. The same passage gives the line 不患寡而患不均.
