usage
Two main contexts: (1) garment sizing — 身长 is the shoulder-to-hem length on a tag (vs. 袖长 sleeve length, 肩宽 shoulder width); (2) infant/child or animal measurements — 'body length'. For adult human height, 身高 (shēngāo) is the standard term, not 身长.
