胴体 is sharply two-faced. In meat-trade and veterinary writing it is the neutral technical term for an animal carcass (white-stripped, head and offal removed). In literary or art-criticism contexts it is a deliberately aestheticizing word for the unclothed human body — slightly clinical, slightly poetic. Don't use it casually about a living person.
