肥厚 has three contexts. (1) Plants: thick succulent leaves (
芦荟的叶子很肥厚 = aloe leaves are fleshy). (2) Soil: rich and deep (
土壤肥厚). (3) Medical: pathologically thickened tissue, especially
心肌肥厚 (cardiac hypertrophy) and
鼻黏膜肥厚 (nasal mucosa hypertrophy). Don't use
肥厚 for human bodies — it sounds like describing livestock.
