One of the 诸子百家. Its hallmark is synthesis, not a single doctrine. 吕不韦 Lü Buwei's 《吕氏春秋》 explicitly merges Confucian, Daoist, Legalist and Mohist ideas. Today 杂家 can also colloquially mean 'a jack of all trades'.
