history

Originally a Go (围棋) term for the endgame phase — 官 refers to 官子, the final small-value moves. Now used generically for any project or show's closing phase.

usage

Very common in TV/entertainment press: 收官之作 (a finale work), 完美收官 (wrap up perfectly). Do not confuse with 官 = 'official'.
