Tips
culture
Founded 1986 in 台北 (Taipei). One of the 'big three' Taiwanese motherboard makers alongside 华硕 (ASUS) and 微星 (MSI). The Chinese name 技嘉 ('skill + excellent') is essentially a phono-semantic match: 'jì-jiā' echoes 'gi-ga-(byte)' while reading as positive Chinese.
memory
Compare with how other tech brands localize: 华硕 ASUS ('China + outstanding'), 联想 Lenovo ('connect + think'), 戴尔 Dell ('wear + you'). 技嘉 is on the more phonetic end of that spectrum but still chooses two flattering characters.
