From 《论语·雍也》 (Analects, 'Yongye'): 贤哉回也！一箪食，一瓢饮，在陋巷，人不堪其忧，回也不改其乐 — 'How worthy is Hui! A basket of rice, a gourd of drink, a shabby alley — others could not bear such grief, yet Hui did not change his joy.' Confucius's praise for his favorite disciple Yan Hui (颜回), who died young.
usage
也 (yě) here is the classical topic particle ('as for Hui'), NOT modern 'also.' 回 is Yan Hui, Confucius's disciple. The phrase is often paired with its setup 人不堪其忧 and gave rise to the later idiom 安贫乐道 ('content in poverty, delighting in the Way').
