In 《卖拐》 Zhao Benshan's con man talks the healthy character played by 范伟 into believing his legs are failing and sells him a crutch, with 高秀敏 as the con man's wife. Two sequels followed in 2002 and 2005, and the sketch made the northeastern word 忽悠 "to con" known all over China.
