Common in Chinese Bible translations as the standard rendering of 'righteousness' (e.g. 公义的太阳 'the Sun of Righteousness'). Also appears in legal/philosophical writing. In ordinary speech, 公正 (gōngzhèng) or 正义 (zhèngyì) are more common.
