倔强 is read jiàng, not qiáng. This is one of the most commonly mispronounced words in Chinese — even many native speakers get it wrong. When
强 means 'stubborn/stiff,' it's always jiàng (also in
勉强 miǎnqiǎng... wait, that's qiǎng — Chinese pronunciation is hard).
