Gǔwén " dǎn qí rán hū " yìsi shì " zhēn de shì zhèyàng ma ".
The classical line "亶其然乎" means "is it truly so?".
Tips
history
亶 is not used independently in modern Chinese. It originally pictured grain abundant in a granary, then extended to mean sincere or truly in the classics. Today it lives on only as the phonetic in 檀 (sandalwood), 颤 (to tremble), 擅 and 膻.
register
Classical only — seen in old texts and as the sound element in compound characters, not in modern speech.

亶dǎn
sincere; abundant grain
Read as one block: a lid stroke 亠 over a granary-with-grain shape 回 and 旦. Indexed under Kangxi radical 亠 by tradition; the radical is not separately meaningful here. The whole graph is the phonetic in 檀 and 颤.
Filed under radical 亠 (tóu, #8) by convention. 亠 is not a separate component in 亶, so no strokes are highlighted.
