Tips

usage

及格 = to pass (a test), usually ≥60 points in Chinese grading. Negating with 不 makes it "to fail". Tone sandhi note: 不 bù changes to bú before the fourth tone 及 jí? No — 及 is 2nd tone, so 不 stays bù.
