usage
An approximate small number like 两三, with a slightly literary ring. 三两下 means 'in a few moves, in no time'. Don't confuse it with the weight 三两 'three liang' (150 grams), as in 三两米饭.

A spring poem by 苏轼 opens with 竹外桃花三两枝, 'beyond the bamboo, two or three sprigs of peach blossom'.
