SAE自动驾驶分级 (SAE autonomous driving levels): L0 (no automation), L1 (assisted), L2 (partial — most production cars today), L3 (conditional — driver can disengage in some scenarios), L4 (high — no driver attention in defined ODD), L5 (full — anywhere/anytime). Chinese auto marketing routinely says 'L2+' or 'L2.9' to imply almost-L3, which has no SAE meaning.

Read aloud as 'L-four' (English letter + number). Used in tech press and product specs. The same shorthand applies for L2, L3, L5. Note: many Chinese OEMs blur the distinction by calling driver-assist 智驾 (zhìjià) regardless of actual SAE level.
