Taiwanese singer whose husky love songs defined Mandarin pop in the late 1980s. His 1985 song 狼 made him the Wolf, and 大约在冬季 is still sung at karaoke. Folk singer 齐豫 is his sister.

Besides 'the Wolf' he is called 北方的狼 'the wolf from the north' and 小哥, a friendly word for a young man. In 1991 he became the first Taiwanese singer to tour mainland China, and his on-off romance with actress 王祖贤 (Joey Wong) lasted until 2002.
