Tips

history
His name was 小白. Under the banner 尊王攘夷, 'honour the king, drive off the barbarians', he gathered the other lords again and again and led them in the name of the weak Zhou king. 老马识途 comes from one of his campaigns. His end was grim: in old age he trusted flatterers, who walled him in when he fell ill, and he starved to death while his sons fought over the throne.
usage
桓 is his posthumous title, given to a ruler who enlarged his lands, so the name reads 'Qi, Huan, duke'. Other rulers are named the same way, such as 晋文公, the second hegemon.
