Formed 1987 in Beijing. Dou Wei (窦唯) was the early lead vocalist; he left in 1991 and was replaced by Luan Shu (栾树), then by the band's best-known frontman Qin Yong (秦勇). Their 1991 self-titled debut album was a watershed release for Chinese rock, and 《Don't Break My Heart》 became the defining Chinese rock ballad of the 90s.
