麦格

In Chinese 哈利·波特 (Harry Potter) translations, 麦格教授 (Professor McGonagall) is one of the most familiar uses — the Mainland edition shortens 'McGonagall' to 麦格 throughout. The same 麦 'wheat' character is the standard rendering of the 'Mc-/Mac-' prefix (also in 麦克 'Mac/Mc' and 麦克阿瑟 'MacArthur').
