history

Originally the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) led by Claire Chennault, fighting for the Republic of China against Japan in 1941-42. Their P-40 Warhawks were painted with shark-mouth nose art that became iconic. Hong Kong police later borrowed the name for their elite SDU unit.
