雅安市 (Yǎ'ānshì): Ya'an (prefecture-level city in western Sichuan, known for panda conservation, high rainfall and as the eastern gate of the Tibetan plateau)

Ya'an hosts 碧峰峡 and 蜂桶寨 panda bases, and gave its name to 雅安雨城 ('Rain City of Ya'an') because it is one of the wettest places in China. The nickname 雅雨 (Ya'an rain) joins 峨眉山 and 康定 in the traditional Sichuan saying 'Ya'an rain, Emei smoke, Kangding wind'.
