超现实主义 (chāoxiànshí zhǔyì) is the standard Chinese for 'Surrealism' — the early 20th-century art movement led by André Breton, with painters like Salvador Dalí (达利) and René Magritte (马格利特). 超现实 alone is the adjective: 'surreal,' applied to anything dreamlike or impossibly strange.
