Tips

history
Starting from the small province of Owari, he beat a far larger army in 1560, took Kyoto in 1568 and was among the first in Japan to use massed muskets in battle. In 1582 his general 明智光秀 turned on him at the 本能寺 temple in Kyoto, and 丰臣秀吉 carried on the unification he had begun.
culture
A Japanese saying sums up the three unifiers by a cuckoo that will not sing: Oda Nobunaga would kill it, Toyotomi Hideyoshi would coax it, and Tokugawa Ieyasu would wait until it sang.
