相扑 originated in Japan and is considered a Shinto ritual as well as a sport. Wrestlers (
力士 lìshì) train in stables (
部屋 beya) and compete in tournaments (
场所 basho). The goal is to force the opponent out of the ring or touch the ground with any body part other than the feet.
