Tips
usage
生 "raw" and 熟 "worked" sort iron: 生铁 (cast or pig iron) is hard, brittle and high in carbon, good for casting, while 熟铁 is low in carbon, soft and easy to forge. 熟 takes its standard reading here, not the spoken shóu.
